7 Days & 7 Nights All inclusive Provence

At My French Voyage, we highly recommend that your Provençal holiday starts in the comfort of your own home by reading one of Marcel Pagnol’s books: La Gloire de Mon Père (My Father’s Glory).

His love for Provence and his vivid descriptions of le pays de son enfance (the country of his childhood) in his book makes you feel as if you can hear les cigales (the cicadas) and smell la lavande (the lavender) and are the perfect introduction to this stunning region.

Your 7-Day French Provence Tour

Provence is one of the most charming and well-known regions of France and our 7-day all-inclusive Food & Wine Tour of Provence will explore the unexpected side of this region, including its extraordinary colours and flavours. Visiting Provence in October out of the summer rush period, is the best month of the year to enjoy remarkable weather and relaxing long days.

Your Gourmet Adventure – Food & Wine Tour

Provence is a region blessed by the Gods when it comes to food and wine and a journey to Provence is a unique experience for all senses. Highlights of our 7-day-all-inclusive food and wine tour of Provence include:

  • Tasting olives, gariguettes, strawberries, cherries, cavaillon melon and saffron. Vaucluse is one big vegetable garden, and whatever the season, its best produce can be found on market stalls.

  • A Sunday morning visit to the colourful farmers' market of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. The sunny weather of the region allows an abundance of fresh sun-ripened vegetables and fruits to grow. Sample a full range of herbs and plants, both fresh and dried, goat cheeses in all kinds of shapes and stages, olive oil, honey and jams, bunches of asparagus, clusters of sweet grapes and of course country bread, fougasse and baguette.

  • Watching the world go by sitting on a café terrasse and drinking a pastis (an anise flavoured aperitif and local favourite!)

  • Explore the wines of the Northern Provence area, famous for varietals such as Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes du Rhône, Gigondas, Côtes du Mont Ventoux and gourmand Beaumes de Venise.

  • Tour vineyards while they are in the vinification process.

  • Eat at some of the region’s best restaurants (away from the tourist traps) run by a young generation of chefs, often with a Michelin star background.

  • Enjoy a picnic under an olive tree with a fresh bottle of rosé!

Francois will also cook dinner for you each night, using local recipes with seasonal products picked up daily at local markets.

YOUR BACKROAD ADVENTURE - Sightseeing & Exploring

Provence is a region full of light where the sun shines on the landscape all year long. It's also a region of contrasting landscapes, from crop lands and vineyards to cedar and oak forests. With this variety of scenery, Vaucluse combines the art of living with natural spaces, and we can’t wait to take you there.

We will also visit Avignon, a medieval town protected by its ramparts and home of the Popes, as well as Mont Ventoux, famous for a stage of the heroic Tour de France and lavender fields.

Seven villages in the region are ranked as “most beautiful villages in France” and include Gordes, Bonnieux, Séguret and Venasque. Their narrow streets, shady squares and graceful fountains all beckon visitors to relax and drink in their beauty.

One of the highlights of the week is the picturesque afternoon at the Baux de Provence village with its medieval castle and ending with the visit of the spectacular Carrières de Lumière and its light show.

Many handicraft products are famous in Provence such as olive wood, soap, tablecloths, traditional local pottery, dried lavender and more. We will visit a range of workshops and see these products being crafted in front of our eyes.

During your stay, you will discover why Vincent Van Gogh and Paul Cézanne took inspiration from the landscape and why they called Provence their home at one point in time.

For antiques lovers, we will visit l’Isle sur la Sorgue, one of the best antique markets in the country.

Each day will finish with a game of boules, a refreshing rosé and some tapenade (olive paste) on a fresh fougasse (local bread) - la vie est belle isn’t it?

 Client Love

We've helped hundreds of travelers see a side of France they've never seen before. Here's some of the feedback we get from our amazing clients.

To find a way of experiencing the beauty, enjoying the local produce, staying in superb accommodation and avoiding the crowds seems like a dream these days, but My French Voyage made all of this possible.
— Roslyn, Sydney AU
“My French Voyage exceeded expectations in every way! Being in a beautiful accommodation for the week and having local, seasonal home cooked dinners prepared by chef Francois every night made this experience authentic and relaxing.
The daily excursions were a great mix of French food, wine, culture, history, and showcased local farms and artisans.”
— Marie, Austin USA
We’ve travelled a lot but our recent week in Provence was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. Being part of a small group, with the benefit of Francois’ insider knowledge, was the closest we’ve come to feeling like we’ve truly experienced a place as the locals do. Every day brought new surprises and we never felt rushed.
If you love food and wine, convivial company and being immersed in another culture we highly recommend My French Voyage and look forward to being able to join them again soon to explore another region of France. C’était fantastique!
